Collection: Beef

Beef is the powerhouse of grazing in Western Canada. There are over 11 million head of cattle in Western Canada. Historically, bison were the OG grazing animals in this area. While bison are making a partial comeback, cattle do a fantastic job contributing to soil health and biodiversity. They are also more manageable in raising and efficiently convert grasses and other roughage into high-quality protein.

Quick Fact: Alberta had the largest cattle inventory in Canada, contributing 42.7% to the national total in 2023. Saskatchewan came in second with 19.3%, and Ontario came in third with 14.0%.
