Experience the difference of farm-fresh, sustainably raised beef delivered directly from our family farm to your freezer. Each half beef provides approximately 150-175 pounds of premium cut beef that will transform your meals for months to come.
Carcasses are dry-aged for at least 14 days before skilled butchers hand-cut and wrap your steaks and roasts. Steaks are generally cut to 3/4" thick. Customers rave about the quality of the cutting and presentation of the steaks and roasts from our butcher shop.
This product is only available in Alberta as it is produced in a Provincially Inspected plant.

How It Works
1) Reserve Your Half: Email Ryan at ryan@meunierlivestock.com to request a processing form. You will select from standard or customized meat cutting specs and have the option for processed meat items like sausage, jerky, and patties. The total price will be estimated—a half beef will cost approximately $2500, depending on weight and current market price.
2) Place your deposit: When you return your cutting specs and order form we will invoice you for a deposit. The deposit is $1200 per half plus additional costs for processed meat items. Once the deposit is paid, your meat will be ready in 5-6 weeks, including 14 days minimum aging.
3) Pickup/Delivery: We will invoice you for the remaining balance, and you can pick it up from Country Quality Meats, just north of Edmonton in Bon Accord. Delivery to Edmonton, Calgary, or Red Deer can also be arranged and billed at cost.

Know Your Farmer, Know Your Food
Meunier Livestock's beef is raised on a fourth-generation family farm northwest of Edmonton in a region ideal for livestock.
When you purchase from us, you're not just buying beef – you're supporting a local family farm committed to regenerative agriculture and animal welfare. We're transparent about our raising practices and sharing how we raise beef on the Modern Pastures website and digital media.
Storage Requirements
A half beef requires approximately 8 cubic feet of freezer space. Most standard chest freezers (7+ cubic feet) can accommodate this amount comfortably.
Common Questions
What is "hanging weight"?
Hanging weight is the weight of the beef after initial processing but before being cut into individual portions. The final take-home weight will be approximately 60-65% of hanging weight after trimming and processing.
How long will the beef last?
When properly stored in a freezer at -18°C or below, our hand-wrapped beef keeps its premium quality for 12+ months.
